Declaration of State of Emergency 

 

A State of Emergency is hereby declared in the Town of Ulster effective at 8:00 AM on October 29, 2012.

 

This State of Emergency has been declared due to anticipated high winds and potential flooding conditions caused by Hurricane Sandy in the Town of Ulster.

 

This situation threatens the public safety.

 

This State of Emergency will remain in effect for a period of Five (5) days.

 

As the Town Supervisor of the Town of Ulster, I, James E. Quigley III, exercise the authority given me under 24 of the New York State Executive Law and 20-2 of the Ulster Town Code, to preserve the public safety and hereby render all required and available assistance vital to the security, well-being, and health of the citizens of this Town.

 

I hereby direct all departments and agencies of the Town of Ulster to take whatever steps necessary to preserve life and property, public infrastructure, and provide such emergency assistance deemed necessary.
