PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that at a meeting of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Town of Ulster Fire District #5, 830 Ulster Avenue, Kingston, Town of Ulster, County of Ulster, State of New York, held on the 16th day of May, 2012, a resolution authorizing the withdrawal of funds from the Capital Reserve Fund for the Purchase of New apparatus was Adopted, an abstract of which is as follows:
RESOLVED that the treasurer of the Town of Ulster Fire District #5 is authorized to withdraw a sum not to exceed Six Hundred Twenty One Thousand Two Hundred Nineteen Dollars and 00/100 ($621,219.00) from the Apparatus and Equipment Capital Reserve Fund of the Town of Ulster Fire District #5 heretofore established by the Fire District for the purchase of a 2000 GPM Pumper.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that this Resolution shall take effect thirty (30) days after its adoption, unless there shall be filed in the interim, with the Fire District's Secretary, a petition signed and acknowledged, or approved, in the same manner as a deed to be recorded by resident taxpayer's of the Town of Ulster Fire District #5, owning taxable real estate property aggregating at least one-quarter (1/4) of the assessed valuation of all the taxable real property of the Fire District, as such valuations appear on the latest completed assessment rolls of the Town of Ulster, protesting against such Resolution and requesting that it be submitted to the qualified electors of the Fire District for their approval or disapproval.
