Town Issues Flood Warning to Town Residents in Low Lying Areas

The Town of Ulster Supervisor's Office and the Town of Ulster Emergency Services have issued a Warning to Town of Ulster Residents of the good probability for flooding in low lying areas of the Town.

 

An Emergency Center has been set up at the VFW facility on East Chester Street which will be opening at 6:00 pm tonight, Tuesday, March 23, 2010.

Present weather conditions have created a Good Probability for flooding in low lying areas of the Town.

 

Residents should make prior arrangements to safeguard their homes form flood waters, secure valued belongings, locate all utility turn off valves and switches and post all emergency numbers.

 

An Emergency Center has been set up at the VFW facility on East Chester Street and will be opening up at 6 PM tonight and will remain open during the duration of the flooding.  There is a possibility that the electric power will also be turned off for the affected areas.
