On Wednesday September 11th, Supervisor of the Town of Ulster, Frederick J. Wadnola will hold a memorial observance of the anniversary of the terrorist attack on our nation.
We will meet at Rider Park at 10:00 AM. All Town of Ulster Employees are encouraged to attend. All residents are welcome to join us.
Officer William Tighe of KPD will lead the procession with bagpipe renditions. Several Fire Departments will be represented.
A Town of Ulster Police Color Guard will lead the entourage.
Supervisor Wadnola will dedicate the opening remarks.
Invocations will be made by Rev. wes Smith, Pastor Grace Community Church and Father John Kearney, Pastor St. Catherine Laboure Church
A flower wreath will be placed in the Hudson River to flow down to the site of Ground Zero, with ceremonial Bell Ringing by the Fire Departments.
There will be closing recitations by the Town Board Members. Followed by Patriotic expression in song, and a silent honoring.
A bagpipe recession will end the ceremony.
