Greater Catskills Flood Remediation Buyout

Program Informational Meeting

Where: Town of Ulster Town Hall

Time: 7:00 PM

 

Town of Ulster Flood Coordinator, James Maloney, will host this meeting on the Greater Catskills Flood Remediation Buyout Program and advises ALL residents in flood prone areas of the Town of Ulster to attend.

The Town is at the critical point in the Buyout process; property owners who want to be considered for the Flood Remediation Buyout Program must be confirmed nowALSO, residents wishing to participate will be required to supply more detailed and personal information at this time.

 

The homes to be considered for the Greater Catskills Flood Remediation Buyout Program must be one or two family homes, AND must be the primary residence of the owner(s), as well as owner occupied.  The current appraised value of the home must be less than $250,000.  The purchase buyout price WILL NOT exceed the appraised value and all liens and encumbrances must be released at closing.

 

This is a voluntary program.  No one will be forced to participate and no resident will be required to accept any offer they feel is unfair during the process.  The goal of the Buyout Program is to remove people from harm's way.
