Body:

The Town of Ulster Highway Department will begin road work(road reclamation) on Stahlman Place during the last week of August or possibly the first week of September.  This will consist of grinding the old road blacktop, regrading, and applying new blacktop with blacktop curbs.  This process will take approximately 15 days to complete, weather permitting.

If you happen to have an orange flag placed in your yard be advised that this is only a marker for the crew to measure from once the road is reclaimed and is not the edge of the road.  Also, many of you will have your lawn, driveway and/or mailbox disturbed during this process.  Be assured that the Highway Department will blend in your lawn and driveway to meet the new roadway and any mailboxes that are disturbed will be put back in place.

The Highway Department will try to keep inconveniences to a minimum and appreciate the cooperation of the residents of the area.  If you have any concerns or questions please call the Highway Department at 338-0193 between the hours of 6:00 am and 2:00pm OR send an email to Frank Petramale, Road Maintenance Leader, at fpetramale@townofulster.org.
