Ulster Town Clerk and Ulster County Clerk Announce July PASSPORT NIGHT

Jason Cosenza, Ulster Town Clerk , and Nina Postupack, Ulster County Clerk, announce that in response to the recent changes in law for passports and the demand for them in order for people to travel abroad, the Ulster County Clerk's Office and the Town of Ulster Clerk's Office will sponsor:

PASSPORT NIGHT

When: Monday, July 30

Time: 6:00 - 8:00

Where: Town of Ulster Town Hall 

1 Town Hall Drive, Lake Katrine

Body:
The passport service will provide information to American citizens about how to obtain, replace or change a passport.  First time applicants can apply on site, providing they have both:
 
  • Proof of U.S. citizenship that consists of a certified birth certificate or previous U.S. passport
  • A valid form of photo identification such as a driver's license
 
The fees for an original application are:
 
  • $67.00 ($52.00 for children under 16 years old) payable to the Department of State
  • $30.00 payable to the Ulster County Clerk
Passport quality photos can be taken on-site for a fee of $10.00.
 
Passport applications, fee information and detailed instructions for children under the age of 14 can be obtained from the Ulster County Clerk website, http://www.co.ulster.ny.us/countyclerk.  Passport renewals can be handled as well if it is within five years from the date of expiration.  All passport questions can be directed to the Ulster County Clerk's Office at 845-340-3288.
