First Annual Historian Day Ice Cream Social

Where: Robert E. Post Park, off Ulster Landing Road
The Town of Ulster Historian Committee will be hosting its 1st Annual Historian Day Ice Cream Social at the Robert E. Post Park on Saturday, September 9th, 2006 from noon until 4 PM. The park is located off of Ulster Landing Road, at the end of Park road, on the Hudson River. This event is for residents of all ages.
- Children will enjoy playing old fashioned games.
- There will be a presentation of postcards depicting historical local scenes.
- Photos from the late Bruce Burgher's collection will be on display. Mr. Burgher was the Town of Ulster's Historian from 1929 until his death in 2002.
- Then of course, there is the delicious ice cream being donated by Boice's Dairy.
Residents are encouraged to bring their old photos for us to scan and ultimately add to our collection. We hope they will assist us in identifying people and places pictured in our current collection.
There is no charge and the event will be held rain or shine under the small pavilion and tent.
