Notice to the Public from the Highway
Department
.

With the pending snow storm (6-12inches) setting up to hit our area, starting mid-day tomorrow (Saturday) and lasting into Sunday morning,
the Highway Department would like to remind everyone to drive safely and allow yourself  plenty of time to travel.

If you don't have to travel please stay off the roadways. If you do have to travel use caution.  Remember, Town law prohibits parking on any Town
road during a storm event, regardless of the time of day
.  In addition, parking is not permitted on Town roads during the overnight, 2:00am until 6:00am.

Help us help you by shoveling around catch basins and fire hydrants near your home. Do not call the Highway department because we plowed
your driveway in. Our job is to clean the roads and the snow has to go on the side of the roads.  Yes, we will put snow in your driveway so it is a good idea not to clear your driveway until we make the last pass and your roadway is clear of snow.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and be safe on the
roadways!

Frank C. Petramale

Superintendent of Highways
