Notice of Completion of Tentative Assessment Roll
(Pursuant to Section 506 & 526 of the Real Property Tax Law)
Hearing of Complaints
Notice is hereby given that the Assessor of the Town of Ulster, County of Ulster, has completed the tentative assessment roll for the current year and that a copy has been left with the Assessor at the Town of Ulster Highway Complex where it may be examined by any interested person during regular business hours until Tuesday, May 28th, 2013.
The Assessor will be in attendance with the tentative assessment roll Tuesday, May 7th between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and Thursday May 9th between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 11th between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., and Wednesday, May 23rd between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., at the Town of Ulster Highway Complex, 584 East Chester Street By-Pass, Kingston, New York 12401.
The Assessment Board of Review will meet on Tuesday, May 28th, 2013 between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. and the hours 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Town of Ulster Highway Complex in said town to hear and examine all complaints in relation to assessments, on the application of any person believing himself to be aggrieved. Appointments will be assigned upon receipt of a completed grievance application. Walk-in applicants will be heard after the scheduled appointments.
A publication, "How to Challenge Your Assessment" is available at the Assessor's Office. Our regular office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Town of Ulster 2013 Level of Assessment is 81.5% for all parcels within the Town.
