8/2/2010 update:

Clear Drainage:

Please be responsible during your fall yard clean-up.  Help us help you by not placing leaves and brush in or around the drainage ditches, culverts and on top of catch basins.  Evan easements that exist between properties should be kept clear.  The habit of piling debris on the uphill side of catch basins is unacceptable and causes hazardous safety conditions and possible flooding to your own property.  The common torrential downpours carry leaves and twigs into drains that clog quickly, causing the roads to flood.  Let's be good partners and work together.  You can have a tidy yard and the Highway Department can have a clear drainage system.

Street Lights:

The Town of Ulster Highway Department is not responsible for street lights in the Town, nor is any other Town office.  If you need assistance of any kind please direct your calls to Central Hudson's Customer Service line at (845) 452-2700.

Traffic Signal Lights:

The Town of Ulster is responsible for maintaining 3 traffic signals and they are listed below.  If you notice a problem you can contact our office at (845) 338-0193, or the Town of Ulster Police Department after office hours at (845) 382-1111.

  1. The intersection of Morton Blvd and Boices Lane. (Near Stewarts)
  2. The intersection of Boices Lane and John Clarke Drive. (Near Panera Bread at R/R tracks)
  3. The intersection of Miron Lane and Frank E Sottile Blvd. (Near the old Landfill)
