Spring Update, April 11, 2008
ROAD SWEEPING:
All roads in the Town of Ulster have been swept. Please, do not blow sand and/or yard-waste onto the street. The roads will not be re-swept.
LEAVES AND YARD-WASTE:
Do not place leaves of yard-waste on the roadside. The Highway Department picks up these items during the Fall Leaf Collection only. Leaves and/or yard-waste can be brought to the Town Transfer Station on Miron Lane, behind the Shop Rite Plaza. Biodegradable bags may be purchased at the Town Clerk's office at the Town Hall for a cost of $.40 per bag.
BRUSH:
As in the past, brush is picked up at the convenience of the Highway Department. Brush length should not exceed six to eight feet in length. Brush should be stacked on the grass line edge - not on the road. Please contact the Highway Department office at 845-338-0193 to be placed on a list for brush pick up.
