The Town of Ulster Water Department currently services the following seven water districts:

The water department staff consists of the water superintendent, four licensed operators, a laborer and the office manager.

 Both the superintendent and the operators are responsible for the safe treatment and distribution of water to all customers. Their duties include:

• Plant Operations
• Water main installation and break repairs
• Water meter readings, repair and replacement
• Water sampling
• General maintenance of the water districts properties

Each licensed operator must complete 30 hours of continuous training within a three-year period for license recertification. Three of our operators, and our superintendent, have been licensed for 10 years or more.

Our office manager handles all customer inquiries, billing and account information.

Plant Hours:      Monday - Friday         8:00am -12:00pm

                         Saturday & Sunday     8:00am - 2:00pm

Office Hours:     Monday - Friday        9:00am - 5:00pm
