Introduction

Welcome to the Town of Ulster Website!

For those who are not familiar with our community, we are located off of Exit 19 on the NYS Thruway, 90 miles north of New York City and 60 miles south of Albany.  The Town of Ulster is in the heart of the Hudson Valley within easy reach of the Catskill Mountains and is known as the "Business Hub" of Ulster County.  We are an active, growing community  and enjoy our beautiful location with easy access to great skiing, fishing, boating, hiking, theatre, music, historical sites, shopping, fall colors, summer festivals, county fairs and much, much more.

Spring Street Sweeping Begins
April 21, 2015

Town of Ulster Highway Superintendent Frank Petramale has announced that the annual Street Sweeping Program has begun.  Please keep parked vehicles off the road side to allow a thorough sweep of each road and DO NOT sweep or rake debris to the road edge, this hinders the sweeping operation.  With your cooperation, and the cooperation of mother nature, every street in the Town should be swept in approximately four weeks.

For more information or for questions contact the Ulster Highway Department at (845) 338-0193
